  • AF is fast and basically noiseless
  • ensures accurate and silent autofocus
  • this lens is very good
  • is light and compact in its own right
  • Always Enabled Necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the website to function properly
  • It is an exceptionally good lens
  • broad plastic manual focus ring is well damped and feels great to use

Cons

  • unreliable construction / firmware
  • There are no hard stops at both ends of the range
  • a bit of light fall-off in the extreme corners
  • lack of built-in Vibration Reduction
  • notable barrel distortion in the corners of the images
  • Manual focus feel is not the best
  • this lens has gotten much less expensive
  • The lens has only one control on it
  • while it is not connected to a camera

  • vignetting is half a stop and some slightly visible vignetting can
