The color management system works well
somewhat better uniformity and perhaps deeper black levels
understated styling
The TV has plenty of connection options and a decent amount of picture adjustments
the picture looked excellent in my tests
The range and sheer number of ports is great
LG Smart TV interface is one of the best in the industry

deep black level and a sterling peak brightness
The ports selection is another excellent piece of industrial design
great connectivity on the back of this Sharp

illuminated ^ icon bottom-center can be turned off
overly blue-tinged blacks
video processing took a step backward
It lacks an app store to add new services
the Sharp somewhat lacking
manual controls will be hard to use
Either picture is hard to watch
Calibration was a bit of a chore
blotchy gray clouds that covered most of the screen
LG is not big on the whole contrast ratio thing
Unattractive interface and remote
dims the HDTV too much to be acceptable
blues were moderately skewed
