The Sonos combination will blow your TV's sound out of the water, but it still isn’t quite the finished article
I've evaluated at least 57 soundbars. That experience has taught me there are two attributes a truly great soundbar should possess. First, it should sound good. Second, it should work like it's part of your TV-i.e., it should power up and shut down when your TV does, your TV's remote should control volume and mute on the soundbar, etc.By this measure, there's never been a truly great soundbar.Sonos-known for network-based audio devices such as the Play:3-has attempted to create a soundbar that would meet my definition of "truly great." Sound bars don't immediately benefit from Wi-Fi connectivity the way music systems do, because you usually use them with your TV, and your TV isn't something you need to put in your pocket and walk around with. But that doesn't mean that Sonos' wireless music features don't benefit from its first sound bar. Just the…
A Sonos soundbar is as good a proposition as it seems
If you’ve been looking at wireless whole home speaker products, you’ve probably come across SONOS. We reviewed their Play:5 wireless speaker and Playbar soundbar with wireless SUB.
The Sonos Playbar was discontinued in the spring of 2020 and replaced by newer models. If you're looking for the best overall sound that a soundbar can...
Even with a few rough edges, the Sonos Playbar may be a handy way for Apple device owners to tackle all of their living room audio needs.
