Samsung GX-10 review, find out how the GX-10 stacks up against the competition in our real-world review with in-depth image quality comparisons.
Compare the looks of the GX10 to the Pentax K200D and you'll see distinct similarities. The two companies have collaborated to allow Samsung to break into the DSLR market, with the GX10 based on Pentax's K10D. The K10D
A solidly-built, high-resolution DSLR camera with an above-average feature set and some innovative and useful functions.Samsung continues to re-badge Pentax DSLR cameras with its latest GX10 model, this time selecting the excellent Pentax K10D as its base. The strategy has helped both companies to spread the distribution of the camera as the Samsung model will sell well in countries where its brand is more familiar and the Pentax, likewise. Some subtle differences can be found in the menu displays but just about every feature that made the K10D so good is duplicated in the GX10. That's not a bad thing - and it's helped Samsung to produce its best DSLR camera yet.
Samsung or Pentax, it's a great camera whatever the badge says
The Samsung GX10 is a beefy DSLR from a company well-known for its slim-and-sexy point-and-shoots. While it’s done a consumer DSLRs before, this 10.2-megapixel beast is quite a step up from the previous 6-megapixel version, the GX1S, they sold for about $550 last year. As a burgeoning camera nut, I was excited to see the
Despite a great feature set for the price, pro-level customization, and excellent photo quality, we can't think of a single reason to buy the Samsung GX-10 over its Pentax-made twin, the K10D.
Pre-Photokina 2006: Samsung has apparently 'announced' the GX-10 digital SLR. This camera, rather unsurprisingly is in reality the Pentax K10D with its logos replaced. Hence a ten megapixel digital SLR with built-in shake reduction, dust 'shake' removal, weather sealing and unique exposure modes. We received no information on this camera from Samsung, all we have at this point is a press release which popped up two hours after news first broke, which is amazing considering how Samsung keep telling us they want to be taken more seriously on dpreview.

The last couple of weeks have extended me, to be precise the time spent with Samsungs latest DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera has enabled me to take some superb images.
