Android 12 for the Galaxy S10, S10+ S10e and S10 5G will begin rolling out in December, 2021, and Gear VR will no longer be supported on devices that update to Android 12. If you wish to continue using Gear VR with the listed devices, please do not update your phone OS.

Why is my Gear VR not working?

If the Oculus app is failing to respond, manually end the process and restart the Oculus app. If that doesn't work reboot the device and try again. Lastly, uninstall and then reinstall the Oculus app.

Open the Oculus app. Tap More and then tap Controller. Below Paired Controllers, tap your controller. Tap in the top right and then tap Recalibrate.

On June 30th, 2020, the support for the Samsung VR Video app ended on Oculus Go, Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest and the app was removed from the Oculus VR store.

How do I use the Samsung Gear VR now?

First, set up Gear VR on your smartphone and pair the Gear VR controller with the Oculus app on your phone. Then open the cover on the front of the Gear VR and place your phone into the slot with the display facing the Gear VR lenses. The controller is your easy-to-use remote control.
