The Galaxy Tab S2 launched in 2015 on Android 5.0. 1, and can be updated to Android 7, but there are no plans for further Android versions to made available for this model.

While the tablet was only updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, Samsung seems to have continued pushing security updates to the device over the last four years. The latest security update for the Galaxy Tab S2, according to Verizon (via Android Police), brings the Android security patches for October 2020 to the device.

Try holding power + volume down for 10-15 seconds and attempt to turn it on and or charge it again. Try leaving it on charge for half an hour if that does not work you may need to do a factory reset or reload the software on the tablet in order to get it working again.

From the right edge of the device, locate the SIM access tray (the first door from the left) and insert the provided key into the hole. Ensure the gold contacts are facing away from the screen and the notch is aligned with the SIM tray. Once the tray is removed, lift the SIM card from the tray.
