  • Netflix service is quite simple
  • Roku's user interface for Netflix is much richer than the Samsung has
  • roomy layout of the buttons and their labels are fairly easy to read
  • The manual is well-written and informative
  • The rest of setup is fairly straightforward
  • the manual does a good job of guidance
  • Connectivity is excellent on the BD-P2500
  • the player looks strikingly minimalist

Cons

  • The player lacks internal DTS-HD Master Audio decoding
  • BD-P2500 does not include any advanced control ports
  • it lacks a coaxial digital output
  • lack HDMI inputs
  • the quality was pretty bad
  • black bars on all four sides of the screen
  • SD discs do not rival the picture quality of Blu-rays
  • The lack of picture controls is not an indication of the video processing
  • Roku only needs to be activated once
  • there is a not a word in the manual about the Netflix feature
  • only works on regular DVDs and not Blu-rays
