The biggest mobile announcement to emerge from Microsoft at the end of last year, alongside the Surface RT Tab, was the arrival of Windows Phone...
This Samsung ATIV S Review looks at nearly all aspects of this smartphone, including its design, photography, performance and battery life.
The Samsung ATIV S is the first Windows Phone 8 device to officially be unveiled.
A lack of 4G holds back an otherwise stellar Windows Phone.
And so to our third Windows Phone 8 'flagship' - except that in Samsung's case it's the only Windows Phone 8 device it currently makes (though see also here), so the point is moot. The ATIV S is an impressive device in several ways though, not least because it's got by far the largest screen in the WP8 pantheon, yet remains (just about) manageable and also offers full flexibility in terms of battery changing and memory expansion. A win all round? Perhaps - though the bundled extra software fails to get close to the package in the Nokia Lumias...

Samsung was the first manufacturer to officially announce a Windows Phone 8 device, but has since been suspiciously quiet about its plans. Plagued by delays and a missed launch period with HTC and...
In-depth review of the Samsung ATIV S (Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960, Qualcomm Adreno 225, 4.8", 0.1 kg) with numerous measurements, benchmarks and ratings
The Samsung Ativ S Neo is proof Windows Phone shopping doesn't have to start and end with Nokia.
Its international roaming capabilities, excellent screen and good battery life make the ATIV S Neo a good option for travelers looking for a mid-range phone. But camera performance isn’t great. And you’ll want to find a good case if you’re prone to dropping your expensive gadgets.
The middle-of-the-road Samsung Ativ S Neo is a safe choice for those who shop by price, but an unexceptional smartphone overall.
