  • it handles the highs they are perfectly clean
  • some impressive technical specifications and technological innovation
  • Tailored frequency response optimised for location work
  • includes a very nice water-resistant aluminum storage tube

Cons

  • don't usually get any accessories as standard
  • high humidity
  • severe cold and dust
  • requires phantom power to operate
  • they cannot stand elevated levels of humidity
  • longer distance shotguns also introduce a bit of comb-filtering
  • hinder your production meanwhile prolonged exposure of any microphone can cause permanent damage
  • high-pitched noise is the problem
  • notoriously noisy (or perhaps just ubiquitous) iPhone
  • the harsh and thin response found in many lower-cost mics
  • wind noise can be a problem
