Pros

  • making it easy to compare with other cameras
  • Architecture shots works well with the P10
  • intuitive handling and controls
  • high ISO is very good
  • bokeh is quite pleasant although
  • P10 module is quite fast and responsive in operation
  • the P10 is certainly a good choice
  • Colours come out great as with all Ricoh cameras
  • Detail is good
  • fairly responsive at around 2 seconds
  • Adobe DNG RAW format is also very welcome

Cons

  • the corners are soft at 24mm
  • lack of a zoom or focus ring is frustrating
  • poor high-ISO performance
  • The A12 50 module is slow to focus
  • there are no controls on the module itself for focusing or zooming
  • built-in viewfinder
  • Lack of a viewfinder can be problematic
  • Macro performance is a little disappointing
  • The fluorescent preset does little to improve results
  • A panoramic mode is not available
  • The lens does not feature manual zoom control
