Pros

  • performed admirably well against the Suunto
  • The strap feels comfortable and well
  • The two sets of numbers are easily readable for most people
  • simplicity of the metrics on display is great
  • pretty simple and easy to use device
  • watch itself and the app is very good
  • It has done well for many years
  • V800 is a really good looking watch that is really well built
  • easy run that was on the schedule
  • It is quite a decent running watch
  • Polar HR strap and accuracy was good

Cons

  • The gps is horrible the navigation on screen is horrible
  • the GPS will not connect
  • very poor quality and not fit for purpose -should
  • that the watch is rather bulky
  • quality is dubious
  • Very occasionally it only takes 30sec
  • The design could use work and GPS is sometimes slow
  • lacks in style
  • no vendors have supported optical HR whilst swimming
  • Models without screens convey all information on the accompanying app
  • it is not cheap at all
