  • the software is easy to use and the scanner provides very acceptable image quality
  • accurate color and all details in highlight and shadow areas
  • Always Enabled Necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the website to function properly
  • The mechanics of scanning are also simple
  • both easy to use and delivers images
  • quick
  • painless process
  • The focus adjustment is attractive
  • Sharpness and clarity are excellent
  • less expensive alternatives are still available

Cons

  • lack of a fixation for the slide holder
  • it looks like the red channel is out of focus slightly
  • Scan choices are limited to either the first image or everything in the carrier
  • flap makes it impossible to sit flush against a perpendicular angle
  • clunky over complicated software
  • dumped me into a rather depressing category of film shooter
  • Nikon has not optimized it
  • this is not a scanner for enthusiasts
  • Scan utility can preview only the first slide or frame of film
  • only the first image on the carrier
  • not need to scan prints and who is not shooting sheet film
