Pros

  • The image quality from still photographs was superb
  • the finish has a classy
  • expensive look and everything feels durable
  • looked sharp and full of detail
  • Styling is symmetrical and lovely

Cons

  • absolute best picture quality
  • it too high over 50 per cent reduced the overall picture detail too
  • MPEG mosquito noise artefacts
  • Older HD TVs might not fare so well
  • only real problem is a self-inflicted one
  • Pioneer does not set the contrast ratio of the TV
  • lack of touch sensitive buttons on the cheaper model
  • desiccated ranchland comes across in vivid detail
  • no USB interface and no memory card slot
  • LX-71 is currently not capable of decoding of any DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks
  • no BD Live compatibility
