Philips Screeneo 1590TV Ultra Short Throw Projector Review
Is the ultra short-throw projector finally about to storm the home entertainment market? A staple of corporates and education, their ability to cast a huge image when placed close to a wall, rather than rely on a long throw and screen, would seem to make them ideal for domestic applications. Other brands have hinted as much – LG has touted its prohibitively expensive Hecto laser projector Stateside, while Sony recently presented 4K short-throw projection as a home-of-tomorrow concept.
This one has much to offer, but the lack of Full HD at this price is a stumbling block
Philips Screeneo HDP1590TV - An ultra-short-throw projector that's portable and bags of fun, but doesn't quite offer cinema-grade pictures.
Need a big screen? Have a blank wall you're trying to make use of? See why we think the new Philips Screeneo projector may be the most hassle-free way to get that massive picture you've been craving.
The Philips Screeneo HDP1590 boasts a decent number of features but offers subpar performance for the price.
Short-throw projectors and LED projectors aren't new but the combination of the two isn't particularly common, as found in the Philips Screeneo HDP1590
