Pfaff Quilt Ambition 2.0

Pros

  • The menus are easy to navigate and follow
  • a good value
  • the machine is fairly lightweight
  • offers great lighting and a thread cutter
  • Pfaff buttonholes are good
  • Sewing with the IDT is wonderful
  • It was very helpful and the comments are great help too
  • It sews beautifully on a range of fabrics as you can see on my blog
  • The Brother also sewed very nicely
  • good buttonholes are important and ease in making them
  • the IDT alone is great

Cons

  • never used a top-load bobbin machine before
  • Bernina accessories are a lot more expensive in general
  • The screen is black and white
  • and fairly small
  • not a full size machine
  • the buttons are not real “buttons
  • is not really a quilters machine has trouble stitching over multiple seams
  • It does not store any personal data
  • The placement of the drop feed control lever is problematic for me
  • the screen does not display the image of the stitch
  • mine has a problem with making them on heavier garments
