Pre-Photokina 2010: In conjunction with its introduction of the K-5, Pentax has announced the smc DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6ED AL [IF] DC WR lens. With an equivalent focal length ranging from 27.5mm wide angle to 207mm telephoto, the weather-resistant lens is made up of 13 elements in 11 groups including ED glass, hybrid aspherical and glass-moulded aspherical elements. Priced at £599.99, the lens will be available from November 2010.
The Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR lens features an all-weather design and delivers on its promise of a long zoom range, but its image quality is disappointing.
