Pros

  • Nice simple ergonomics with a great chunky grip
  • optical viewfinder quality is very good
  • Image quality is superb and the flip-out and rotate screen
  • The screen is clear and easy to view
  • capable and pleasant to shoot with
  • improved autofocus system
  • strong colours and reasonable detail
  • robust
  • water-resistant design
  • noise tests in video showed very good results
  • Dynamic range results are very good

Cons

  • not as heavy as some previous models
  • the example shot was horribly soft and lacking in detail
  • no anti-aliasing filter
  • K-70 is neither a pro body nor a beginner's camera
  • missing out
  • lack of time to get used to them
  • auto white balance tends too much towards the cool side for my tastes
  • The viewfinder image isn t stabilised
  • noise gradually increases
  • lack of a low-pass filter means
  • s bulkier and heavier than its rivals
