  • a faster lens will provide much better depth-of-field control
  • excellent performer that is very keenly priced

Cons

  • noticeable light fall-off in the corners
  • filters
  • and does not turn during auto or manual focus
  • only slightly larger and heavier
  • there s no optical image stabilisation on board
  • lack of internal stabilisation will restrict which Panasonic models
  • veiling flare in outdoor shots taken with the sun just outside the frame
  • no distance scale and no additional controls on the lens
  • loss of sharpness due to diffraction
  • lower sharpness is somewhat disappointing
  • sharpness and low chromatic aberration
