Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10
This is the latest in our series of new 'Quick Reviews.' We will be using this format for cameras that are operationally similar and identical in terms of output to models we've already reviewed. We test to confirm the image quality is identical (noise tests and shots of our 'compared to' studio scene at all ISOs), then concentrate the review on the differences between the two cameras. To learn everything about the camera you are interested in we recommend reading not only the Quick Review but also the full review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2.
Most of the features of the DMC-G2 in a lighter, more affordable camera body.Attach the LCD monitor to the back panel, remove the touch screen overlay, reduce the viewfinder resolution to 202,000 dots and disable the stereo sound recording capability and you've converted the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 into the DMC-G10. You've also saved $300 in the process. In this review, we'll focus on the differences between the two cameras, as shown in the table below.
The Lumix G10 got pricing and a vague date yesterday, and now the first full review has finally graced the interwebs.

There's no doubt that Micro Four Thirds has proved a big hit for Panasonic and the photography industry in general, so the brand new G10 camera comes as no surprise. One of two new G system models for 2010, the DMC-G10 attempts to bring all the benefits of the Micro Four Thirds system - smaller size and weight with comparable features and image quality to a fully-fledged DSLR - to a wider audience, with an aggressive price tag of £499 / $599 with the new 14-42mm kit lens. Mark Goldstein finds out if it succeeds in our Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 review.
The Panasonic G10 offers DSLR quality in a substantially smaller camera body. In this G10 review, we test its handling, autofocus, ISO performance and more
Panasonic LUMIX G10 review: A Micro Four Thirds camera that takes great pictures, but could be better value
It has much in common with the new Lumix DMC-G2, but its pared spec means that Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-G10 could be the most attractive Micro System Camera for enthusiasts on a budget.
