OnePlus built its empire (so to speak) on being the “flagship killer” at half the price. They offered a phone that was pretty good, at a price that was really good, and sold via limited channels in limited markets. That strategy seems to have worked so far, but has it “killed” any flagships? Not really.
OnePlus’ latest is still a great value, but still has the same old problems
Can the successor to one of the most popular phones ever reclaim its throne?
This year, it's not complicated: if you want a fantastic phone that doesn't cost a whole lot, the OnePlus 6 is your best choice.

Great screen, improved camera and dual-sim support make this high-performing £469 phone feel like a bargain
No phone maker has done a better job delivering bang for the buck than OnePlus, and the feature-packed OnePlus 6 is another winner.
Released in late May, the OnePlus 6 is the latest dual camera-equipped smartphone from Chinese brand OnePlus. It is a premium model featuring a large 6.28-in AMOLED edge-to-edge display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The OnePlus 6’s main camera has a 16MP 1/2.6”-type sensor that is combined with a stabilized f/1.7 lens. [...]
We are testing the OnePlus 6 phone, which has a strong dual-camera, a fast Snapdragon 845, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage space at its disposal. The installed OxygenOS 5.1 is very up-to-date and based on the modern Android 8.1 Oreo. The OnePlus 6 is available for purchase directly through the manufacturer or without contract through various other online shops.
The OnePlus 6 is here. The latest OnePlus handset feels very familiar, but that's a large part of what makes it so good. Let's find out more in our OnePlus 6 review!
The OnePlus 6 is a fast and elegant phone that should be the top choice for US dual-SIM users, but its pricing is a little awkward for everyone else.
