Image quality is excellent and I really like the feel and handling of the lens
most imaging software can correct for shading issues
Compact size and lightweight are the major advantages
optical quality is truly remarkable
Distortion is handled excellently with this lens
It is optically better than 14-54 mk2
It brings incredibly sharp results and has a great max aperture
It focuses fine on all bodies
and on it works great
really sharp and the IQ is outstanding
Sharpness and bokeh is well balanced
hood was easy to fit and remove and provided good flare suppression
that offers both a wide zoom range and excellent resolution
faster
quieter and easier than the kit lens
Color and contrast is excellent

No one could have checked this lens
it does not support contrast AF
zoom out quite as far
Vignetting and distortion are also worse
slight pincushion distortion only at the mid-range level
repels dust and grime and feels as tough as old boots
the intermediate markings to be slightly off the mark
rubber coating is blocky
resembling the tread on a tyre
reverses over the lens barrel for storage
I lose a bit of flexibility in DoF control
It weighs twice as much as the kit lens
