  • Build quality is decent enough and the focus ring is smooth and broad enough to be useful
  • close-up performance is pretty decent
  • Digital scores surprisingly well on this point
  • The zoom dial is very good
  • tube slides out in 2 steps and is pretty free of play
  • Digital performs reasonably well on autofocus
  • small
  • inexpensive and good

Cons

  • lack of IS can be a bit of a problem
  • Olympus lenses do not offer an image stabilizer
  • MFT cameras rather than the lenses anyway
  • sample showed no zoom creeping as a consequence
  • marginal distortion and negligible vignetting
  • the field of view is not a true 150mm at the long end
