Pros

  • It fits nicely into the hand
  • and feels solid
  • The screen is very bright and easier to view in all weather conditions
  • The unit powers up very quickly and is ready to roll almost instantly
  • nice smooth action gain and volume control
  • the interface is simple
  • convenient and effective
  • its compactness and ease of use
  • sound quality of the stereo monitor is startlingly clear
  • The buttons are crisp
  • responsive and logically laid out

Cons

  • It almost seems a bit antiquated
  • liquid-crystal display is small and can be tough to read
  • a little pricey though
  • It lacks a way for attaching the belt
  • very difficult to adjust the sound to optimize it
  • lack of bass in the sound
  • 5 Volt power supply
  • not possible to embed markers during recording
  • extensive printed documentation is actually far more intimidating than the product itself
  • configuration is not as flexible as some of the LS10's
  • is no dedicated line out or S/PDIF digital output
