  • make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images
  • solid and well-built
  • point everything is great
  • watching your video on the computer extremely easy and also provides some basic editing tools
  • footage from the 170 is quite good
  • Nikon for having a good stack of accessories ready to go
  • qualities as Action Cameras
  • excellent
  • Their customer service is superb
  • the user interface on the camera is really simple and very good

Cons

  • silly sharp as far as IQ goes
  • There is no sample size or demographic data provided
  • the battery needs charging is not optimal
  • There is no local display
  • no local menu
  • gravitationally distorted is ugly at all times
  • reformatting to a rectangular window
  • never really manages to be more than average
  • The time lapse settings only composite 10 seconds of video
