Pros

  • solid and well-built
  • Quality is good
  • image quality is fine
  • It looks good on paper and has a sexy design
  • smooth and nicely detailed
  • make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images

Cons

  • Wretchedly ugly
  • Focusing is a little too slow
  • the battery life is also quite poor
  • noise causes a little softening in places
  • no flashing red battery warning us
  • noise becomes too much and overwhelms the noise reduction system
  • Picture quality drops off fairly early with only the centre of the picture sharp
  • The Continuous Lo is a bit more plodding
  • Image quality does suffer vastly at this close range
  • ridiculous tiny sensor cameras
  • Do not make toy cameras with Small sensor with Big MP again

Nikon has unveiled the Coolpix L620, an ultra zoom camera in its budget-friendly L-series. It sports an F3.3-5.9, 25-350mm equivalent lens coupled to an 18.1 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor. Other features include lens-shift Vibration Reduction, a 3", 480k dot LCD, 1080p video recording, and use of AA batteries. You'll be able to pick up the Coolpix L620 in your choice of black and red in September for around $250/£199/€239.
