Pros

  • Build quality is very good
  • The balance feels good on both large and small camera bodies
  • The lens feels solid in hands
  • Autofocus accuracy is also impressive
  • wider
  • lighter and much less expensive lens sounded very
  • AF speed is quite fast
  • large and rubberized focus ring is nicely damped and operates smoothly

Cons

  • 77mm filters will not rotate on the front element
  • the filter thread appear to be plastic
  • 8G ED is not sealed against dust and moisture
  • it has no aperture ring
  • Chromatic Aberration Geometric Distortion Chromatic Aberration
  • There is no lens extension during autofocusing
  • barrel distortion in its test results
  • exorbitantly expensive
  • it is pretty expensive and often quite heavy to carry around
  • 28mm on full-frame to be a bit too long for my taste
  • 8G to be a bit too long for my taste
