Pros

  • Image quality of the 4x6 photos was excellent
  • image quality is very satisfactory
  • The zoom control is smooth and accurate
  • better built quality
  • it comes with a free lens hood
  • great travel lens thanks to the focal range and light weight
  • Very useful for www
  • Image quality is very good at all ranges when using the correct apertures
  • The images are nicely bright and sharp
  • great for parents whose kids are stage performers and athletes
  • great optics and vibration reduction technology

  • Distortion is noticable at the long end
  • The focus speed is quite slow
  • Nikkor does not feature an internal focus design so

  • The lens is a poor performer past 200=220 mm
  • The pictures tend to be soft and color kind of flat
  • just does not live up to the Nikon quality
  • 6G AF can be a bit confusing to research online
