The fit is very comfortable to my ears
the extra dollop of bass is clean and well defined
solid overall definition and clarity

The supplied mini-stereo adapter was sadly defective
and headphones tend to have an exaggerated lower-frequency response
PRO40 has a slightly bass-heavy sound
it will merely disconnect from the headphones
some loss of top-end extension and detail
the Pro40 is simply overpriced

slight lack of definition in instrumental timbres and
muddied the texture at the upper midrange on some tracks
