  • The supplied mini-stereo adapter was sadly defective
  • and headphones tend to have an exaggerated lower-frequency response
  • PRO40 has a slightly bass-heavy sound
  • it will merely disconnect from the headphones
  • some loss of top-end extension and detail
  • the Pro40 is simply overpriced
  • over-ear headphone arena
  • slight lack of definition in instrumental timbres and
  • muddied the texture at the upper midrange on some tracks
  • the headband lacks the same plush lining
  • cable lacks any coiling and includes the aforementioned inline remote and microphone
