Pros

  • midrange and vocals were very clear and not overly lean sounding
  • good looks and great sound quality
  • honesty and a good balance of objective and subjective observation

Cons

  • not nescessary to connect or control a source with the Crescendo X via Bluetooth
  • noticably inferior to streaming from the NAS drive
  • wasn't a hardware issue with the speaker or my network equipment at all

Pros

  • midrange and vocals were very clear and not overly lean sounding
  • good looks and great sound quality
  • honesty and a good balance of objective and subjective observation
  • The music stayed very consistent
  • admirable bass when positioned well
  • melody remained clean and non-fatiguing
  • with a sense of humor and great vocals and
  • tracks all sounded appropriately full and lush
  • styling perfectly fits with the quality of its sound
  • beautifully recorded selection of jazz tunes with plenty of presence and room ambience
  • Strong versatility for wired and wireless connections

Cons

  • not nescessary to connect or control a source with the Crescendo X via Bluetooth
  • noticably inferior to streaming from the NAS drive
  • wasn't a hardware issue with the speaker or my network equipment at all
  • the sound changed very little at different parts of the room
  • Crescendo X will not play any DSD file formats
  • Stereo separation only comes into play with frequencies above the crossover point
  • it not only has a subwoofer output
  • Bass was pretty weak overall
  • the drums do not sound boosted in the slightest
  • not the same function as the sub out button on the rear panel
  • all-in-one wireless audio systems are a different beast
