Pros

  • eXplorist 710 is a versatile tool for navigation
  • The upgrade was very straightforward
  • very comprehensive and in color
  • 710 has a really nice solid feel and fits comfortably into your hand
  • Vantage Point software you can view and copy the files very easily
  • GPS s got me to the cache very easily
  • This allows quick access to menus and is very useful
  • The Voice Memo feature is very good
  • Excellent quality pre-loaded Summit maps
  • pretty straightforward and intuitive
  • The menus are nicely laid out and it was easy to find what you wanted

Cons

  • Outdated hardware for a flagship device
  • another preloaded set of maps that cover city streets
  • the price has went down throughout the years
  • No cherry-picked units sent by manufacturers
  • Large
  • heavy
  • slower than Garmin units
