Facebook Twitter LinkedIn More Logitech G560 Gaming Speakers Review – Logitech MX SOUND has the compactness and design style that I like as a Desktop Speaker. However, with the lack of a dedicated subwoofer, it may not pack a punch as powerful as people would want it to be. In answer to that, plus some […]
A truly immersive gaming experience
Booming sound, and plenty of style.
The Logitech G560 gaming speaker system demonstrates the raw potential of what RGB-enabled gaming speakers could offer. It doesn’t quite manage to fully harness that potential - but that potential is definitely there.
Logitech are a brand known in the tech space for their mice, keyboards, headsets and webcams. Now they’ve also dabbled with speakers, but never like this.
A disconcerted laser light show of a speaker
When it comes to getting sound out of your computer, Logitech is a beast. Logitech is one of the biggest players in the game. Ironically, though, the company has never released a set of gaming speakers – until now. This spring, Logitech finally put out the G560 2.1 Lightsync speakers, the first speaker system in its Logitech G line of gaming peripherals. With headsets, mice, keyboards...
I’ve been more than happy with my ageing pair of Creative speakers. They crackle whenever you change the volume, the cable has to be taped a certain way to the back to make a connection, and they have an infuriatingly large plug that never fits the right way around into the socket. But they work.
Logitech’s G560 Lightsync speakers sound good, producing a thunderous bass response coupled with able sound staging and stereo separation. Its killer feature though is the screen-sampling ambient lighting, that makes it the first RGB peripheral I’ve used that actually makes an appreciable difference to the gaming experience.
Turning up the bass really shows what this RGB-lit system can do.
Logitech's G560 speakers use RGB lighting in a way that mimics Microsoft's futuristic IllumiRoom research, but there are some annoyances.
