Pros

  • Smart TV apps is impressive
  • Streaming playback quality is very good
  • BP420 was excellent with the content playing flawlessly
  • It is comfortable to hold and intuitive to use with sensible button placement
  • surprisingly very easy to navigate
  • content is fairly easy
  • update procedure is smooth and fast
  • docking capabilities are also very office-friendly
  • sharper
  • clearer
  • and more colourful screen

Cons

  • feel a little bit sluggish to use for the Smart TV apps
  • LG has added a shortcut bar to the home screen
  • the player is quite sluggish to navigate through libraries of files
  • can take several seconds just to open a folder
  • lack HDMI inputs
  • BP420 offered no access to LG s 3D video streaming service
  • they were largely drowned out most of the time
  • slightly cheap feeling front mounted buttons
  • The tray loading disc slot can be a little bit noisy in operation
  • It may not display this or other websites correctly
  • effects are nowhere near as noticeable in day-to-day tasks
