  • The steel body feels strong and is of high quality
  • that all menus and most functions are very fast to use
  • exceptional portability and good picture-taking capabilities
  • an excellent macro shooter
  • very easy to use and takes nice pictures
  • Speed in continuous mode is excellent
  • autofocus system worked surprisingly well at low light levels
  • Control buttons are nicely integrated and well spaced
  • the X50 is a great take-everywhere companion
  • colors were rendered accurately and appropriately saturated
  • slim

Cons

  • cameras image quality
  • Coverage of the viewfinder is poor at approximately 80%
  • digital cameras simply take too long to start-up
  • The lens is placed in the far top left corner of the body
  • There is no manual white balance setting provided
  • Flash coverage was limited to about three metres
  • Bad SD slot cover stiff to open and close
  • lost photos due to a corrupted memory card
  • Xt's battery life is a little limited
  • Memory card corruption can happen with any card type and any camera manufacturer
  • Somewhat limited low-light capabilities
