iRobot Roomba i7+

If the iRobot Roomba i7+ is unable to function properly, the best course of action is to reset the machine. This can be done via tha iRobot HOME App.

Follow these steps if your iRobot Roomba cannot connect to the cloud: Confirm your robot is on its charging station or evac dock and that it is properly charging. A robot not seated properly will quickly drain its battery and lose its connection to the cloud. Confirm your Wi-Fi passwords have not recently changed. If they have, you’ll need to update your Wi-Fi information though the app in Robot Settings. Even if your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, this ensures that your robot is updated as well. Force close the app and relaunch it. Verify the app opens and your robot is visible. Wait 30 seconds to give your robot a chance to attempt to establish a connection. If your robot can establish a local connection, you will be presented with a reboot button on the home screen. Proceed with the reboot if this button is visible. Next, disable Wi-Fi on your phone and make sure cellular data is enabled. Force close and reopen the app again. On your robot, go through the steps to reboot by holding the clean button for up to 20 seconds. It may take up to two (2) minutes for your robot to fully reboot and re-establish a connection. Confirm that your phone or router do not have any software or apps on them that may be blocking outside apps and devices. If you have a firewall set up on your router, ensure these firewall ports are open: 8080, 443 8883 and 123. Confirm your internet service provider or your wireless mobile carriers are not experiencing service or bandwidth issues. Reboot your router. Disconnect or unplug the power supply for 15 seconds. After reconnecting the power, please wait for your router to initialize. This may take up to 60 seconds (times vary based on your router's make and model). Add your robot to your WiFi connection again If you’ve recently moved your router or Home Base, ensure it has sufficient Wi-Fi coverage. If the Home Base has less than two (2) bars of Wi-Fi coverage, it may be unable to consistently report a successful connection.
