It is time to review that secondary Coffee Lake-S refresh release, in this review, we put some blisters on the Core i7 9700K. This is the higher end mainstream processor. With eight cores it is aimed ... Introduction
Core i7-9700K is an interesting twist on a high-end CPU.
Intel's Core i7-9700K is a proficient mainstream CPU for gaming enthusiasts, but AMD's Ryzen 7 3700X offers better value and better performance on many computing tasks.
Intel's Core i7-9700K comes with eight cores, but lacks HyperThreading. In our testing, it still conclusively beats the 6-core/12-thread Core i7-8700K. The much more expensive Core i9-9900K is also under heavy attack: it seems the Core i7-9700K actually is the better gaming CPU.
For the enthusiasts among us who have some breathing room in their budgets, Core i7-9700K is a much smarter choice for gaming than the pricey Core i9-9900K.
