Low end frequencies are very rich and greatly detailed
making it very comfortable to hold in one hand

articulate
well controlled
interface better and find touch screen to be more responsive
clearer and easier to read and to tap switches
faster access and more efficient operation
optical out is another good addition from the old DX90
Imaging is solid and clearly defined
it is clean sounding
musical & articulate
the DX80 is a very good value DAP
The buttons feel solid and well made

spacious and has an incredible musicality and timing

The sound is comfortable and has a long-term listening
sold in a beautiful premium package

It is sharp enough at normal reading distance and cover art was sharp

mids and lows is excellent
Voice reproduction is extremely clean and very close to the real thing
The DX80 is exceedingly well designed

no internal storage or charging adapter included in the box
None of the elements are overbearing
buttons are a bit sharper
its a closed UI and not an open Android system
it is not user replaceable which is a shame
the hardware gain function on the bottom right that was present on the older DX models
It either sounds like music or its way off
weakness is completely overcome with the silicon bag attached
lack of touch controls
No drivers required for MAC/Linux
accessories and stumbled across burn in cable
You cannot play DSD thru coaxial/optical
midrange comes off slightly warmer than the DX90's
field cannot be empty
slightly rolled off and lacking in palpable body
No reproduction without permission

a large touch screen and a small volume rocker
character tends to be neutral
price around $359 USD is definitely not inexpensive product
still not sharp enough to show all the content on the display
lossy compressed tracks have none to a very narrow soundstage
not having a clock on the main screen just does not work out
the battery is not user replaceable
it is on the heavier side
it is not at all intuitive from the get go
