  • great sharpness and decent viewing angles
  • looks nice and has those great speakers
  • vibrant screen and good hardware
  • Tones are very slightly
  • brilliant viewing angles
  • Animations are smooth
  • media playback is good
  • Very comfortable to use and flawless operation

Cons

  • HTC One M8 is not only far cheaper than the M9
  • pictures can sometimes appear a little flat and lacking in depth
  • expensive innards replaced with much cheaper ones
  • no IR blaster this time
  • the apps menu moves vertically rather than horizontally
  • the colours do look a bit cold and sterile
  • the power button still lives at the top rather than the side
  • speakers sound terribly thin and harsh
  • it is slippery without a casing
  • almost missing out the front camera
  • No HDMI out (sort of a bummer)
