It's progress from the Pre, but not without eccentricity
The HP Veer reverses smartphone screen sprawl with a tiny 2.6-inch screen and compact body, but hacks off a number of important features to reach its impossibly small size.
Running WebOS 2.0, the HP Veer 4G has some incredibly useful multitasking and social networking features, but the super-compact design and tiny keyboard isn’t for everybody.
HP's Jon Rubenstein told us that his company wanted to veer in a new direction, and veer it surely did -- the HP Veer 4G will arguably be the smallest fully-functional smartphone on the market when it goes on sale May 15th.
When you first see the Veer's tiny keyboard, you think, "Oh man, this is never going to work." But it's actually not that bad, at all.
The HP Veer 4G packs a lot of features into a very compact package, but it requires too many trade-offs.
