Pros

  • Great in all other respects
  • It looks good
  • fits good
  • VAHR itself is pretty decent
  • magnetic cradle of the VA was very easy
  • optical HRM was excellent for nearly all of the run
  • easy to operate and simple to review data
  • it also feels quite comfortable to wear
  • the screen is very good and easy to read
  • faster and more responsive
  • It was clear and easy to understand

Cons

  • Contrast is quite poor
  • switching between three devices is frustrating
  • Backlight brightness seem really dull
  • Tomtom activity tracking is pitiful and the interface is clunky
  • vibration alert is sadly quite pathetic
  • Garmin fails to keep checking in on my HR
  • This is a bit of an awkward comparison
  • Broadcasting heart rate data decreases battery life
  • FR630 is off beating to its own drum
  • it does struggle a little bit on the recovery section
  • v voactive HR tracks sleep
