Fitbit Ionic - Pros & Cons

Tailored workouts are useful here too
fitness tracker which is functional and useful
It also tracks sleep fairly accurately
It was nice to run outside without lugging around a phone

the phone is not smart enough to turn off the auto-on feature while
smart watches are quite thick and bulky
screen functions became uncontrollable
The screen can be slow to respond
the smart features are pretty lackluster right now
without access to a proper sleep lab

it will garner plenty of Apple Watch comparisons

the Fitbit logo is annoyingly placed just below the screen
the Fitbit Ionic is also missing some basic offerings
Heart rate recordings are highly inaccurate overall

it lacks an openwater swim mode
the GPS on the SW3 was appalling
the Ionic is completely lacking when it comes to band options

the Ionic only allows one face to be installed on the watch at a time
Software and apps sometimes feel buggy
and are only available as trial apps
Models without screens convey all information on the accompanying app

the Ionic does not keep track of pace or laps
battery power remaining a user has to swipe up on the home screen
Fitbit requires a user to put music in playlist formats rather
The Ionic will not stay lit while in exercise mode
