So the World Cup set you thinking of buying a new TV set. Here's a better idea %C2%96 spend the same amount of money on a <b>projector</b>, and get a screen at least twice the size. You can pick up <b>Epson</b>'s stylish 3D-capable <b>EH-TW7200</b> for around %C2%A31900 (or currently %C2%A31700 on Amazon) and regale the family with a 120 inch or more display on your living room wall (only die-hard home cinema aficionados insist on a dedicated screen). And when you switch it off, you're not left with a huge blank frame dominating the room.
This year, projection specialist Epson has rejigged its product lineup to target the bigscreen movie fan who wants to step up from a £1,000 model but isn't ready to enter the competitive mid-range market where Sony and JVC are also trading blows. The result is the EH-TW7200, its 'entry-level' 3D model that retails for approximately £1,900 – a price point that other brands often ignore.
Steve Withers takes a look at Epson's latest projector and discovers a budget model that feels more like their flagship TW9200.
excellent picture quality, but an awkward middle ground in terms of price
A great full HD home cinema projector for under two grand
