  • Fit and finish are absolutely first class
  • The speaker is solid
  • well thought out and uses good-quality components
  • very clean and incredibly fast
  • uncannily accurate and extremely detailed
  • The bass is tuneful and incredibly nimble
  • Images are pinpoint accurate and hold up when listened to off axis
  • crisp and capable of reasonable resolution
  • The Ls do look very nice in Mercury Ice on the dedicated floor stands
  • mass of sonic detail in the ape house is captured with exceptional clarity
  • Clever design and great build

Cons

  • very hard to get one off
  • lack of bass is the obvious one
  • this is only a pair of 600 stand mounts
  • bass output stopped short of troubling the deepest room modes
  • Planet L looks a flawed design with the issues in the top octave
  • It may not display this or other websites correctly
  • there is no on/off switch
  • home cinema system
  • no specific point of resonance
  • 
the auto on/off switch is a little insensitive
  • cylindrical subwoofer does look a bit like a kitchen bin
