Pros

  • easily clean upholstery
  • It is lightweight making it very portable
  • excellent cleaning performance in an easy to maneuver canister model
  • vacuum better for carpeting and rugs
  • Plug it in and you are ready to clean
  • The small particles were cleaned up incredibly well
  • Lightweight Ball has found a great balance especially for rugs
  • suction power is impressive for the on board tools too
  • Both of these sized rugs were cleaned up nicely
  • the vacuum can glide
  • spin

Cons

  • Dyson DC24 is pricey
  • having to lug my heavy vacuum up and down the stairs
  • depress the red button at the base of the handle
  • vacuum sucks up a lot of dust
  • the suction power is simply too powerful
  • vacuum is still much more expensive than other vacuums on the market
  • Limited five-year warranty from the manufacturer
  • not perfect
  • and not as good as other vacuums in this price range
  • does not have the power to handle a deep pile carpet
  • The hose is a little cumbersome to unpack
