Dyson DC14 - Pros & Cons

The canister is brilliantly designed
the ergonomics are pretty good
It really works great for stairs and carpet
Works so quietly and easily
vacuum cleaner is a very versatile machine
cleans up hard floors very nicely
The on board tools are also very nice
It cleans carpeting very well
stretchy hose is nice for getting into tighter spaces
happy with the quality and performance
very reliable and easy to clean internally
Good suction - brilliant for pet hair and keeping carpets clean

more versatile products which are easier to use

It s not really a flimsy piece
the cleaning tools do not fit in the storage place very snugly
s broken so far and it s not Dyson s fault
the roller brush does get dirty and hinders the performance of the cleaning quite
if the filters are not maintained
poor care and not cleaning and/or changing both the filters
Pinging is currently not allowed
grinding noise
doesn't have a low clearance
it still wraps around the back of the vacuum with ease when
the canister was filled with dust and debris my inferior model missed
the rug edges get pulled up off the ground at times

and awkward to use
misaligned hose
the hose lost suction and made a loud hissing noise
It is a bit heavy to use
overpriced and spares/filters/etc
the standard warranty is not enough
that the wand accessory can sometimes be annoying to set up
This technology does not require bags and Dyson claim the vacuum will not lose suction
pre-motor and post-motor filters
