Introduction D-Link has a long history in the network business and I myself have personally had many of their devices in use over the years, so my expectations are high here. I have the pleasure to take the D-Link DIR-880L AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router for a spin in the test area and it will be interesting to see what the DIR-880L can perform. Right off the top we have the best possible wireless connectivity with the concurrent dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz connectivity for a total speed of 1900Mbps, 600 Mbps from the 2.4GHz band and 1300 from the 5GHz
The Wireless AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router (DIR-880L) comes with D-Link's modern and mobile-optimized UI, is a good performer in 802.11n and legacy wireless modes, but it's just average in 802.11ac throughput.
Today we take a look at D-Link's newest flagship router, the DIR-880L. Packed with tons of features, see how this router holds up against the competition.
D-Link's latest router boasts aggregate speeds of up to 1,900Mbps. Released last October, this AC1900 router may appear inferior to rivals that tout 2,400Mbps (AC2400) or 3,200Mbps (AC3200) speeds. But here is the thing: Most of those routers offer just 1,300Mbps on 802.11ac, the most current Wi-Fi standard. In fact, older AC1750 routers also have a top speed of 1,300Mbps....

The DIR-880L Wireless AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router by D-Link is a powerful and feature-rich model with just one drawback, its "classic" design.
With 802.11ac clients becoming more mainstream, there has never been a better time to invest in a 802.11ac compatible router. We pit four of the finest AC1900 class routers from the biggest names in networking - ASUS, D-Link, Linksys and Netgear - to find out which is best.
Put another way there is a whole lot to like with the D-Link DIR-880L and very little to not like. If you are looking for a new router and want good performance that does not come with a budget busting price means the DIR-880L really, really deserves a long hard look
Tyler tells us all about the D-Link DIR-880L in his latest review. This router holds a few surprises in the performance numbers that are worth seeing.
Looking for a home router that offers long range, fast speed, and stable Wi-Fi signal? The new DIR-880L might just be what you're looking for.
The D-Link DIR-880L houses the latest in Wi-Fi technology in a traditional chassis. Learn more here.
As we move increasingly towards FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) for higher performance internet, there is an increasing requirement to separate the router from the modem. D-Link%C2%92s DIR-880L Wireless AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router is a high performance unit which ticks all the right boxes for those who are also moving to file sharing and media streaming.
D-Link DIR-880L Review: D-Link has another hit, with the fastest, best value 802.11ac router to date.
Updated - D-Link's DIR-880L first AC1900 class router is a late entry that doesn't break new ground. {mospagebreak toctitle=Overview, Inside} {multithumb} {l...
