Commodore Amiga CD32 - Pros & Cons

Commodore Amiga CD32

Pros

  • Explosions are crunchy and digitised speech is always welcome
  • emulation is excellent and every one of the built-in games plays perfectly well

Cons

  • the power-ups are nothing special and you can hit the upgrade ceiling
  • enemy design has been plucked out of a lost property box
  • mislabelled Stag disk
  • Environments are a little bland as is the ship design
  • with the title screen proving to be quite jarring
  • lack of awareness of gamers and the closed nature of the Japanese market
  • these are a bit crude and probably best avoided
  • the power button lacks feedback and feels cheap
  • often device mappings were incorrect
