  • sharper and better suits digital sensors
  • build quality of the lens is very good and in line with most moderately priced
  • Sharp Nikkor with excellent contrast

Cons

  • little when focusing towards closer focus distances
  • The front element does not rotate so using a polarizer is no problem
  • able to get most things inside your frame

Nikon Nikkor 20mm f/2.8

Pros

  • sharper and better suits digital sensors
  • build quality of the lens is very good and in line with most moderately priced
  • Sharp Nikkor with excellent contrast
  • The handling characteristics is excellent
  • The scales and numbers are very informative
  • The coatings are better on higher production numbers where Super-Integrated-Coating
  • Handling is excellent which helps you concentrate on just shooting with it
  • compact barrel which makes in invaluable for hiking

Cons

  • little when focusing towards closer focus distances
  • The front element does not rotate so using a polarizer is no problem
  • able to get most things inside your frame
  • limited uses for a wide angle at f stops wider
  • an accident damaged the rear lens of mine some time ago
  • 14mm is not exactly the same price
  • Nikon Lenses Not yet tested Lens Review Navigate
  • suffers most with window glare
  • still unusable at this aperture value
  • not dismantle the latter
  • The corners look horrible
