  • Video quality is reasonably good
  • Detail is good in the centre of images

  • The menu system is easy to navigate
  • auto white-balance is fantastic
  • she has won awards and has been exhibited
  • The night photograph was excellent
  • decent contrast and great viewing angles
  • fast and easy to use
  • Colors are accurate

Cons

  • The battery door feels a bit flimsy
  • noticeable image quality issues are the soft corners
  • very slight green/yellow cast being left under our fluorescent lighting
  • The camera can only remember settings for one device
  • Noise is pernicious at higher ISO speeds
  • fringing and chromatic aberration at full zoom
  • its shots are quite a bit noisier overall
  • the battery life is just plain bad
  • Detail falls off sharply at higher ISO speeds
  • ll struggle a bit in low-light conditions
  • the 340 seems weaker in certain areas
