  • looks
  • feels and performs very much like a classic DSLR
  • The night photograph was excellent
  • Intelligent Auto Mode system works very well
  • best compact system camera
  • Dynamic range is also better
  • better sensor and improved algorithms
  • Olympus also offers similarly well regarded lenses
  • the detail and richness on show is very easy on the eyes indeed
  • brilliantly fast and accurate here
  • great shots and good video

Cons

  • include a HDMI cable as standard in the box
  • quite visible noise and loss of fine detail
  • 4K shooting is not available with AVCHD compression
  • It takes about 1 second to store a JPEG image
  • The camera takes the same amount of time again to apply noise reduction
  • Too many are simply trying to capitalize on affiliate revenue
  • just fractionally larger and heavier than predecessor
  • results will vary depending on the lens in use
  • Handgrip is a little shallow for those with larger hands
  • find 4K photo and time lapse/stop motion animation
  • choices and tends to default to the nearest object
