    marco.hintz

    With a 20.9-megapixel DX-format sensor and numerous shared features with the flagship full-frame D5, the D500 is a true professional-quality APS-C DSLR.

Is nikon d500 fx or dx?
    edmundo_predovic
The new D500, a DX-format digital slr that packs the performance of the new D5 (Nikon's flagship FX-format model) into a smaller, more agile body. It has the same strong 153-point AF system as the D5, high speed shooting at approx. 10fps.

    daron.upton
The D500 has a Program mode in which it chooses Aperture and Shutter speed for you as well as ISO if auto ISO is set. It does not have the green auto mode or auto scene modes if that's what you mean. It does have a built in VR.

    mary_koch
Thanks to its incredibly fast autofocus system taken from top-of-the-line Nikon D5, fast continuous shooting speed of 10 fps, a huge buffer capable of fitting up to 200 RAW images, fast EXPEED 5 processor, accurate metering system, and excellent low-light performance, the Nikon D500 is our top pick among APS-C DSLR

    katherina

No, the Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote is not compatible with the Nikon D500. For wireless remote control of the Nikon D500 you would use the WR-R10/WR-T10/WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter Set.

Nikons with CFexpress Compatibility Almost two years after the original announcement from Nikon, the day has come: D5 firmware version 1.4, D850 firmware version 1.20, and D500 firmware version 1.3 are all available now and enable use of CFexpress Type B memory cards as well as XQD cards in the Nikon DSLRs.

If there is a USB charger for D500 batteries, then you can use a solar recharging panel. Many chargers have a 12 vdc adapter for an automobile.

Does nikon d500 have image stabilization?
    mario_weber
While the Nikon D500 does not have in-body image stabilization (IBIS), Nikon developed something called “Electronic Vibration Reduction”, which basically stabilizes video shooting via software. And the cool thing is, you can actually use this feature in combination with lens VR to get even better results!

Like a younger sibling who has to watch the world fawn over the wunderkind while it sits brooding in the corner, the D500 runs the risk of being overlooked. It shouldn’t be. The recent boom in DSLR sales has seen all the major manufacturers adding bulked-up or stripped-down entry level models, repositioning their offerings to make sure that anyone willing to put up with the size and weight of a DSLR will look at one of their models. The whole thing has often left existing DSLR owners a little lost - 'why isn't there a direct replacement for my camera?' - but has undoubtedly meant there are many more attractive, accessible cameras on the market just waiting to entice first-time DSLR owners.
